Lesson 6: Insulating Sidewalls from Exterior, Part 2: Dense-packing a sidewall from exterior (1 hole method), plugging & weatherproofing drilled holes, reinstalling wood siding

Lesson 8: Basement & Crawlspace weatherization, Part 1: Basement windows, weatherizing rim joists with two-part foam, dryer vents

Lesson 14: Kneewall Air Sealing: Kneewall transitions, kneewall bottom plates and wall structure, cutting a hatch to gain access behind kneewall

Lesson 15: Kneewall Insulation: Insulating kneewalls with housewrap and/or mesh and cellulose, open and closed kneewall floors

Lesson 16: Insulating Kneewall Slopes: Insulating open kneewall slopes with mesh & cellulose, housewrap plus strapping and cellulose; dense-packing closed slopes

Lesson 17: Attic Air Sealing, Part 4: Flues and chimneys, wet walls, recessed lights, range hood vents

Lesson 18: Site Visit: (House: residence TBD) Classroom : Communication skills, stop work items; On-site : Blower door, exterior inspection, mapping, identify thermal boundary & air barrier, strategies for air sealing, strategies for insulating

Lesson 20: Insulating sidewalls from Interior: Protecting the living space, identifying hazards, drilling, probing, dense-packing (one-hole method), plugging and mudding, special situations, including: level changes, interior soffits, kitchen, baths

Lesson 21: Advanced Siding Removal & Repairing Siding: Vinyl, aluminum, old wood clapboards, asphalt, asbestos

Lesson 22: Repairing & Sealing Doors & Windows: weatherstripping, adjustments, cost-effective repairs

Lesson 23: Additional Exterior Weatherization: Weatherizing cantilevers; introduction to two-hole method of blowing cellulose

Lesson 24: Additional Interior Weatherization: Air sealing bulkhead door; attic pull-downs (Thermadome demo), whole house fans; attic walkups; insulating pipes

Lesson 25: Course Conclusion: Course review, intro to BPI certification tests, BPI certification practice session, course recognitions, course evaluations
